Driven By Love (1 Corinthians 16:14)

Let all that you do be done in love.
– 1 Corinthians 16:14

That is a simple verse worthy of memorization today. This is so easy to memorize, just memorize it right now with me. Let all that you do be done in love. just say it out loud with me if you’re in a place where you can do that. Let all that you do be done in love. Say it again. Let all that you do be done in love. One more time. Let all that you do be done in love.

1 Corinthians 16:14 Challenges Us to Lay Aside the Selg-Seeking Life

Oh, what would it look like to live that way today, just to be driven all day by love? And we know this is the thrust of the whole Bible. This is the summary of all the commandments that Jesus gives us. Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.

Let all that you do be done in love for God today. And the second is like it, “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Let all that you do be done in love for other people today. What would it look like for every thought, our every desire, every word today, our every action to be done in love for God and in love for others? No self-seeking, dead to self, alive in Jesus, alive to love God and love others.

1 Corinthians 16:14 Challenges Us to Love God and Others in All that We Do

Oh, this is so simple and so life-changing. God, we pray that it would mark our lives today. Lord, we pray that today all that we do would be done in love. God, help us to love you with all our heart and all our soul and all our mind and all our strength, with all that we do today, our every thought, our every desire, every word, every action, everything we do.

Lord, we pray that it would be done in love for you and in love for others. God, help us to lay down our lives, to love others today, to die to ourselves, to all self-serving and to live, to love others today in all that we do. And in this, oh God, we pray for the spread of your love today through us to other people, that other people might know that you are love. We love because you first loved us. God, may our lives be loving out of the overflow of your love for us.

Prayer for the Guanyingqiao Jiarong People

Lord, we pray for people all around the world who don’t know your love. God for the Guanyingqiao Jiarong people. I’m not assuming I’m saying that people group exactly right, but you know this people group, this small people group in East Asia, among whom there are no known followers of Jesus.

God, we pray for the spread of your love to them, that they would know your love in Jesus, and we pray that the fruit of our lives would be today and every day the spread of your love in the world and the overflow of your love in us. We pray all this according to your Word in 1 Corinthians 16:14. In Jesus’ name, amen.
