How can anyone experience real peace in a world of chaos?

In this episode of Everyday Radical, David Platt and Austin Huang talk about peace as a fruit of the Spirit—and the gospel that brings true rest.

About This Episode

Many people long for peace, but struggle to know where it can actually be found.

David and Austin explore how peace with God becomes the foundation for peace in our hearts, peace with others, and hope for the day when Christ will bring final peace to all things. They also talk honestly about conflict in the church, and what it means to trust God as our wise and loving Father in every situation.

This conversation is both encouraging and practical. It offers real comfort for those who feel anxious or unsettled, while also calling Christians to become peacemakers who carry the gospel of peace into a divided world.

Key Questions Discussed

  • Why do we struggle to feel peace even as Christians?
  • How does prayer relate to the peace of God?
  • What does it mean to be a peacemaker in a world of conflict?

In This Episode

  • How sin shattered peace in Genesis 3 and how Jesus restores it.
  • Why the church should be marked by humility, gentleness, and peace.
  • How Christians can pray honestly and fight for peace in the middle of chaos.

How to Respond

  • Bring your anxieties before God in prayer instead of carrying them alone.
  • Ask whether your mind is fixed more on your circumstances than on God.
  • Rest in the gospel: if you are in Christ, peace with God is already yours.
