Nothing is too Hard for God (Jeremiah 32:17)

“Ah Lord God, it is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm. Nothing is too hard for you.”
– Jeremiah 32:17

Oh let those six words in Jeremiah 32:17 soak in. Nothing is too hard for you. Nothing is too hard for God.

Now, apply those words in all kinds of ways around you. In your life, in the world. So let’s go in two different directions, in our lives. I know we’re all facing different challenges in our lives. Isn’t it awesome to know that right now, we are about to pray and anytime you can pray to the God who has all power, his great power, his outstretched arms, they’re what caused the earth and the heavens to even come to be. This power belongs in God and whenever we pray, we’re speaking to him and we’re asking him for help. He is able to do anything we ask, according to his word. Anything.

God is sovereign over all, and nothing is too hard for Him. He will bring about salvation among all the peoples of the earth.

And he promises to answer with his power, according to his word, so we’re facing this challenge, where we need wisdom. We’re praying to the God who has all wisdom, who has power to give it to us and promises to give it to us. We’re walking through this or that in our life, where we need strength, and we’re praying to the God who has all the strength in the universe. It all belongs to him, and he promises to give us strength when we ask for it.

We need peace in the middle of this or that circumstance, that we’re walking through and we’re praying to the God of peace. Peace belongs to God and he promises to give it to us when we ask. Just think about the storehouse in God of peace and strength and hope and courage and wisdom and all the things we need. He has all. Nothing is too hard for him. He can do anything for the accomplishment of his purposes. Nothing too hard for him when we pray personally.

Then, as we pray, and I hope you continually pray. We try to work this in, just continually to these podcast episodes, but you are praying for people who don’t know Jesus around you and peoples around the world that are unreached by the gospel, where the gospel has not yet gone. Many of them are really, really hard to get the gospel to. So I think about Somalis. I think about Somalia. It is just extremely hard to get into Somalia. There are so many barriers to the spread of the gospel there. The reality is, if a Somali comes to faith in Christ, the likelihood is they would be killed almost instantly.

Jeremiah 32:17 Teaches Us That No Mountain We Face Is Too Great For God

So that seems really hard to get the gospel to Somalis, but Jeremiah 32:17 says nothing is too hard for God. Nothing is too hard for God. God can do anything for the accomplishment of his purposes and we know it is his purpose to bring about salvation among all the peoples of the world, so all of this just gives us confidence. We’re praying in our own lives and we’re praying for Somalis and unreached peoples, so let’s do that now.

God, in my life, and I know in others’ lives who are listening to this right now, there are all kinds of challenges, obstacles that we are facing. Valleys we may be walking through, but God we praise you. You’re greater than all of them, and you have in you the storehouse of all we need.

God Is All We Need

You are ultimately all we need, and so we pray. God we pray for strength. We pray for peace. We pray for courage, for wisdom. And we pray for your leadership, your guidance, your provision, your protection in all these different ways in our lives, and we praise you that nothing is too hard for you.

That you can do and will do anything for the accomplishment of your purposes when we ask, so God we pray for the accomplishment of your purposes in our lives. Bring them about, bring them about we pray. God, bring about in the world, God we pray for Somalis right now. We pray for Somalia. We pray for the spread of the gospel in Somalia. Lord, we pray that you would break down barriers. We pray that you would open up doors for the spread of the gospel today, in Somalia.

God bring people to know your grace and your mercy today in Somalia. God please bring it about. We’re asking, nothing is too hard for you. You can do this. You purpose for all people to know your grace and your love and your mercy, so God show your power for the accomplishment of your purposes.

We’re pleading right now and believing, nothing is too hard for you. So bring about the spread of the gospel in Somalia. Cause the church to rise up in Somalia for your glory. God we pray this. Nothing is too hard for you. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.
