Living with Gospel Confidence

Although they don’t often talk about it, many Christians experience occasional doubts about their faith. Whether it’s the truth of the gospel, the genuineness of their own faith, or the effectiveness of their prayers, these believers struggle with assurance. In this message from 1 John 5:6–21, Pastor Mike Kelsey of McLean Bible Church tells us how we can live with gospel confidence. God desires His children to have confidence in His promises.

  1. We can have confidence that God hears us.
  2. We can have confidence that God has transformed us.
  3. We can have confidence that we have a relationship with the real God.

Mike Kelsey is Lead Pastor of Preaching and Culture at McLean Bible Church in metro Washington, D.C., where he has been a pastor for over 13 years. In his role, Mike leads MBC to engage in current cultural issues in order to reach new and emerging generations as well as people disconnected from and disenfranchised by the church. Mike and his wife Ashley live in the D.C. metro area with their three children.

LESS THAN 1% OF ALL MONEY GIVEN TO MISSIONS GOES TO UNREACHED PEOPLE AND PLACES.

That means that the people with the most urgent spiritual and physical needs on the planet are receiving the least amount of support. Together we can change that!
