Kazakhstan
Today, less than 1% of the Kazakhstan population identifies as Protestant. With a history of the first missionaries arriving in the 4th century, to the rise of Islam, and state-sponsored atheism under Soviet rule, the church of Kazakhstan faces restrictions and pressure from the majority Muslim population.

Leadership Development
Through your support, a one-year internship program led by a local church is training aspiring leaders. The goal is to equip and teach pastors with a model of the church, how to evangelize in societies with limited religious freedom, and how to preach. For ongoing training and partnership, the program continues to equip and encourage the church leaders after they complete their internship.
HOW TO PRAY FOR
Kazakhstan
For the gospel to be known.
With a history of Christianity being suppressed under Soviet rule and about a 70% Muslim population, many Kazakhs have never heard the truth of the gospel. Pray for the gospel to be shared and heard.
For new believers from a Muslim background.
Leaving Islam often comes with social pressure, family rejection, and government scrutiny. Pray for new believers to be strengthened and encouraged in their faith.
For unity and growth.
While Christianity accounts for a small part of the population, there are various denominations present in Kazakhstan. Pray for unity among believers and for the gospel to be at the center of all teaching.
