Contending In Love

We all long for security, peace, and the freedom to live without fear. But in a world that constantly demands our attention and allegiance, it’s easy to place our confidence in things that cannot ultimately protect us.

In this message from Jude 1:1–2, David Platt explains how understanding God’s love transforms the way we live and contend for the Christian faith. Rather than fighting the world’s battles by its rules, Christians are called to stand for the truth with the supernatural love of God guiding their lives.

Our deepest problem is sin. We have turned from God, trusting ourselves instead of the One who created us. But God has not abandoned us. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we can be forgiven, brought into God’s family, and given eternal security. His Spirit calls us, His love surrounds us, and His mercy, peace, and love continue to grow in us.

In this episode:

  • Discover what it means to be beloved by God.
  • Understand how belonging to Jesus brings true freedom.
  • Find lasting security in God’s unchanging love.
  • Learn why Christians must contend with love, not worldly aggression.
  • Develop a daily practice of resting in God’s love.
  • Discover how to share the gospel with compassion and courage.

Will you take time this week to rest in God’s love and share the good news of Jesus with someone who needs to hear it?
