Why Does Radical Exist?
What is Radical? Radical started with an awakening and a book, but it really started when the resurrected Christ give his disciples a commandment to go to all the world and preach the gospel, making disciples and baptizing them in the name of The Father and of The Son and The Holy Spirit.
Equipping the Church for Mission
Today there are 3.2 billion people who have never heard the good news of Jesus Christ, and we, we want to be obedient. Radical exists to equip God’s church to be on mission because 3.2 billion people have never heard the gospel. We do this by developing innovative strategies for reaching the unreached because 3.2 billion people have never heard. We host multiple events around the world, all designed to awaken and form and mobilize believers for the cause of Christ in the world because 3.2 billion people have never heard.
Leveraging Our Lives for the Great Commission
We create resources like podcasts, sermons, articles, and books, all designed to spur people toward obedience to the Great Commission because 3.2 billion people have never heard. We’re providing training for pastors, missionaries, young adults, so that they can leverage their lives for the sake of the glory of God among the nations. We’re doing all of this because 3.2 billion people have never heard the life giving gospel of Jesus Christ and he alone deserves their worship and our obedience. This is our call to give our lives. This is Radical.
David Platt serves as a Lead Pastor for McLean Bible Church. He is also the Founder and Chairman of Radical, an organization that helps people follow Jesus and make him known in their neighborhood and all nations.
David received his B.A. from the University of Georgia and M.Div., Th.M., and Ph.D. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Some of his published works include Radical, Radical Together, Follow Me, Counter Culture, Something Needs to Change, and Don’t Hold Back.
He lives in the Washington, D.C. metro area with his wife and children.
