WHY: The Gospel and Suffering

These four sermons deal with the topic of suffering in the book of Job.  Hardship is a given in a fallen world, and followers of Christ are not immune to the pain of earthly trials. In fact, following Christ may even lead to more trials, particularly as those trials come in the form of opposition from the world. Questions abound: Where is God when I suffer?  When will my suffering end? Why am I suffering like this?  In this series David Platt teaches us how the gospel strengthens, sustains, comforts, and gives us hope in the midst of our suffering.
