The SC Live Test: What To Look For

Today is the SC15 simulcast Live Test. For many of our simulcast hosts out there, that may beg the question: what are we testing for? When you log in to your simulcast account this afternoon, you’ll be able to see a live video feed from the Secret Church venue in Birmingham… so are you good to go as long as that pops up? Not quite…

Here are a few things to look for:

  • A steady, sustained video stream for at least 45 minutes (remember, you’ll be on for 6+ hours on Friday night). Be on the look out for pausing, buffering, or cutting in and out. Your internet may not be fast enough if you run into issues.
  • Clear audio. Make sure that your sound is quality, uninterrupted, and that it syncs with the video.
  • The right equipment for your gathering on Friday. Consider this the dress rehearsal. Test everything… your computer, speakers, cables, monitors, modem, projectors, maybe even lighting. Now is the time to work out kinks.

Be sure to log on tomorrow for between 45 minutes and an hour sometime from 3pm to 9pm (CDT). Go here for answers to some of our most common technical questions. Call us at 205.547.2777 if you run into any other roadblocks. You can also email [email protected].

Looking forward to tomorrow night with you!

Less than 1% of all money given to missions goes to unreached people and places.*

That means that the people with the most urgent spiritual and physical needs on the planet are receiving the least amount of support. Let's change that!
