Persecution Update: Christians Warned

Persecution against Christians in India continues to escalate, especially in areas dominated by radical Hinduism. In February, The Voice of the Martyrs newsroom reported a troubling flyer that was found at a train station in India. The flyer stated that the Christian faith is a problem that the Hindu organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) intends to eliminate through what they call a “homecoming,” or the conversion of all people back to the Hindu faith. Their goal apparently is to erase Christianity by the year 2021.

India is our prayer focus for Secret Church 16: A Global Gospel in a World of Religions. Please join us in prayer for our brothers and sisters in India who face persecution for their faith. Below are a few ways to pray.

  • Pray for pastors and church leaders to continue to be bold in their faith and to shepherd their churches well.
  • Pray for new believers to be discipled so that they can withstand persecution and attempts to “re-convert” them.
  • Pray for those who persecute. Ask that they will see the love of God through the church in India and would trust in Jesus as their Savior.

Radical’s Secret Church is a unique, one-night event that is streamed online to more than 50,000 participants around the world.

Less than 1% of all money given to missions goes to unreached people and places.*

That means that the people with the most urgent spiritual and physical needs on the planet are receiving the least amount of support. Let's change that!
