While many Christians today tend to have an individualistic or even self-centered concept of the Christian life, the Bible places a high priority on the church. This message defines the church using 1 Corinthians 3, a passage that gives three pictures, or analogies, of the church. Other passages are used to identify twelve biblical characteristics of a church. Finally, based on a biblical definition of the church, three implications are drawn for church’s mission.
