“For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, bestowing His riches on all who call on Him. For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
– Romans 10:12–13
That’s a promise. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Jew, Greek, in other words, everybody, regardless of ethnicity, nationality, upbringing, background. The same Lord is Lord of all and bestows his riches on everybody who calls on Him.
Oh, please I encourage you to think about this on a personal and a global level. So a personal level, just realize. Everybody around you, think about your sphere of influence. God is ready to bestow his riches on anyone who calls on Jesus, so invite somebody to call on Jesus.
To experience His salvation, to receive the riches of God. When I’m talking about a Christmas gift to say to a co-worker, a family member, a friend today “I got something for you. The riches of God.” The riches of God. They are available right now to anyone who calls on Jesus. Offer that gift. I just want to encourage you, even as in my own life today, God use me to introduce somebody to your riches. To your riches.
Salvation is available for anyone who will trust in Christ. May God use us to make His gospel known in our neighborhoods and among the nations.
Romans 10:12–13 Reminds Us of What is Available in Christ
God, I pray for everybody who is listening to this right now who knows the salvation that’s available in Jesus. God, please open up a door today for them to share about your riches and to lead somebody. Oh God, open up a door to lead somebody today to call on your name and be saved that they might know your riches. So, God, we pray for this right around us in our sphere of influence, and then we pray for this far from us.
We pray for the Khmer in Cambodia. Oh God, 14 million of them in Cambodia. So many of them have never even heard about Christmas. Even heard at least the true meaning of Christmas. Who Jesus is. I think about the people I’ve met in remote places like some of these Khmer in Cambodia who have never even heard the name of Jesus.
We Pray for the Spread of the Gospel
God, we pray for the spread of this good news that everyone, every Khmer, who calls the name of Jesus will be saved. God, we pray of the spread of that good news among the Khmer in Cambodia. Please oh God, please, please, please cause this news to be made known there among them. Cause many people to call on your name and be saved. Bestow we pray.
Bestow your riches on the Khmer in Cambodia. So God, we pray for this personally in our lives today right in our sphere of influence, and then globally, far from where we might live. And God we pray, even as we pray that God use our lives, use our families, use our churches to get this good news to the Khmer in Cambodia. God, don’t let us live our Christian lives keeping this gospel to ourselves or in our specific locality. Help us to make this gospel just as you’ve commanded us known among the nations that the nations might be saved. In Jesus name, we pray. Amen.
