Love on Display (1 John 4:14)

“And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.”
– 1 John 4:14

Yes. What a great verse to meditate on and pray according to on Christmas Eve. We have seen and we testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. This is the greatest news in the world. This is news that has power to transform lives for forever. Even as we gather together for worship gatherings on Christmas Eve, let’s pray that God would use our lives to make this news known, to testify to it.

Testifying the Good News of Jesus Christ

We have seen and testify that the Father has sent His Son to be the Savior of the world. May God use our lives to make known the greatest news there is.

Oh, let’s pray together. Let’s just jump right in. God, we praise you that all of your promises, all throughout the Old Testament, even as we read through different passages in the Old Testament in this advent season, just anticipating your coming, putting ourselves in the shoes of those who are longing for your coming, Jesus, we praise you that it has happened. That the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. That we are not waiting anymore. That we have salvation in Jesus.

1 John 4:14 Prays that All Peoples Will be Brought to Salvation

Jesus, we praise you as the Savior of the world, and we pray that you would save today. We pray that as we gather together in worship gatherings in churches that you had saved. Show your salvation. Bring people to salvation. We pray. As we’re going around and spending time with friends, family members, we’re in stores talking to different people, God, we pray that you would help us to boldly testify. We’ve seen and can testify. The Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. Help us to testify that today. Use our lips to introduce people to Jesus. Today we pray that they might know him as the Savior of the world.

1 John 4:14 Prays for Unreached People Groups

So God we pray this not just here, but around the world. God, there are so many people in the world who don’t know you yet as Savior, many who haven’t even heard of the good news of how you’ve saved. God, we pray for the Bosniak in Bosnia, Herzegovina. A million and a half of them, few to hardly any followers of Christ among the Muslim Bosniak. God, please, please, please bring them to know Jesus as the Savior of the world. Please send people to the Bosniak to testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Oh, God.

May this testimony ring out around the world that many might come to know Jesus, not just as Savior of the world, but Savior of their lives. Even as we praise you individually, we gather together as families and churches to praise you, God, that you have sent your Son to be the Savior of the world. Jesus, we exalt you as the Savior of the world today. In your name, we pray. Amen.
