None Like You (Jeremiah 10:6–7)

“There is none like you O Lord. You are great and your name is great in might. Who would not fear you O King of the nations, for this is your due. For among all the wise ones of the nations and in all their kingdoms, there is none like you.”
– Jeremiah 10:6–7

Amen, Jeremiah 10:6–7 is a great couple of verses. And it continues in different ways in Jeremiah 10, just exalting God. A couple verse later, it’s “he who made the Earth by his power, who established the world by his wisdom, by his understanding stretched out the heavens.” Oh these verses compel us, much like the word of God does in so many different ways in prayer to praise God, to exalt God, to worship God. Just to let our prayers resound to his glory.

All nations are nothing before God. He alone is perfect in all of His glorious ways. He rules and reigns over all.

This Verse Leads Us to Worship God

So that’s what we do, that’s what Jeremiah 10:6–7 compels us to do. O God there is indeed no one like you. You are holy. We join with the angels of heaven who right now are gathered around your throne, myriads and myriads and multitudes of multitudes saying over and over and over again, we join with them, “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty. The whole Earth is full of your glory.” You are great, your name is great in might. There is no one like you. There’s is no one above you, you are God, you are Lord, you are King of the nations.

All nations bow down before you. You hold the kings and the rulers of the Earth in the palm of your hand. You alone are supreme O God, you alone are glorious, you alone are great and you alone are good. There is no one like you in your goodness, there is no one like you in your love there is no one like you in your mercy, in your grace, in your justice, in your righteousness.

You are perfect O God. Everything in you is right, and we worship you, we praise you, we sing before you, we bow before you, we lift our hands to you, we prostrate ourselves on the ground before you. You alone are God. You alone are good, you alone are holy. And we worship you. God use our lives for your worship today, we pray. We pray, please be honored, glorified, exalted in all that we do, say, think today, because you alone deserve all glory and honor, and praise. There’s none like you O Lord. We praise you in Jesus’s name. Amen.
