To Him Who is Able (Jude 1:24–25)

“Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you blameless before the presence of His glory with great joy, to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority before all time and now forevermore. Amen.”
– Jude 1:24–25

Jude 1:24–25 is a glorious benediction. It’s a sending out entrusted to God, the One is able to keep up from stumbling. Isn’t that a great picture? God is able today to keep us from stumbling. I’m prone to stumble today. I shudder at all the ways I could stumble today and so to know that my life is in the hands of the One who is able to keep me from stumbling, the One who’s able to present me blameless before His presence, the presence of His glory with great joy, oh, I just pray for that. I long for that. Want to be blameless before God, to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Then it just erupts in praise. Be glory, majesty, dominion, and authority before all time and now and forevermore.

Jude 1:24–25 Prays That God Keeps Us From Temptations

So I just want to pray this benediction over you. I want to pray this benediction over your life, just to pray to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling. God, I pray that, I certainly pray these thing in my own life, but, God, I pray for those who are listening right now. I just pray that you would keep them from stumbling. I know they’re faced with all kinds of temptations right now, all kinds of temptation to sin, all kinds of temptations to not do what You are calling them to do, to do that which Your word have called them not to do, so many temptations. They’re just bombarded all around. Please, oh God, please keep them from stumbling. Please present them blameless one day before the presence of your glory with great joy. God, please keep them until that day. Don’t let them wander from You. Help them to stay close to you until that day. God, You are our Savior. You are our Lord. To You belongs all glory, all majesty, all dominion, all authority, from now and before all time and forever, for all time. We glorify You.

Jude’s letter ends in a doxology that glorifies the only One who can keep us and present us blamelss before God for all eternity.

This Verse Praises God For Directing Our Lives

Together, we praise You as the One who’s able to do these things in our life. To keep us from stumbling and to present us blameless before You. We need You, oh God. We need You to lead and guide and direct our lives all day long today. Need You to keep us from sin. Need You to help us walk in holiness. We need You to make us the men, women, children You’ve called us to be. And we need You in every facet of our lives. We seek You. Long for You. Worship You. Love You. And we praise Your name together. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.
