Isaiah Chapter 66:18. God says, “For I know their works and their thoughts and the time is coming to gather all nations and tongues and they shall come and see my glory.” This is a picture that God gives us of where all of history is headed, towards the day when all nations and tongues shall gather together and see his glory. It’s the end of Isaiah and it’s also the end of the bible.
This is Revelation Chapter Five, this is Revelation Chapter Seven, a multitude that no one can count from every nation, tribe, tongue, and people. The whole picture here, nations and tongues all gathered together and Revelation Seven they’ll sing, salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the lamb, the lamb being Jesus, will see and know the glory of God, all nations and tongues.
We pray, give, go, and live toward seeing God’s salvation known among all nations because we know that’s where all history is headed.
This is where all of history is headed so when we pray then we pray for the fulfillment of that vision. We pray for the glory, and the grace, and the salvation of God made known among all peoples and all nations. Not only do we pray for that but we give toward that end, we use our resources toward that end. We use our gifts and talents toward that end, we use our lives toward that end. We want our lives to play whatever part God wants us to play and sing his grace, his glory, his salvation known among all nations because we know that’s where all of history is headed.
I want to encourage you, I mention at various points in this podcast about praying for people groups, nations in the world that have yet to hear about the name of Jesus. I want to encourage you to incorporate that into your praying whenever possible. Today I want to lead us to pray for the Hmong people in Vietnam, a million and a half of them, very few of them followers of Christ. They are just a few followers of Christ among a million and a half people and God has said in his word that he’s going to bring all nations and all tongues to see his glory, to know his salvation.
When we pray for the Hmong people in Vietnam we can know this is a prayer God wants to answer, God will answer, so let’s pray. God we know you are worthy of glory not just from one type of people, you’re worthy of glory from all type of people in all the earth. You’re worthy of glory from every nation, tribe, and tongue so we pray, make your glory known among all the nations. Make your glory known. We pray today specifically for the Hmong people in Vietnam.
God please draw the Hmong to yourself, God please open their eyes to your salvation, cause. We pray the gospel to be proclaimed among them. We pray for the few believers that there are. God we pray that you would help them, give them boldness, grace, to share the gospel, to spread the gospel even in its persecution that may come their way. Even amidst all the challenges around them.
God please bless them. Please raise up others from other people groups, from other nations, including us who are listening to this podcast right now. Lord, call out people to go and make the gospel known among the Hmong in Vietnam. Please oh God, bring your salvation to them and thousands of other people groups like them who have yet to experience your salvation. Oh God, we know, we praise you for Isaiah 66, verse 18.
The time is coming to gather all nations and tongues to see your glory so God we pray, bring it about. Bring it about soon, oh God. Cause the nations to know and glorify you soon, we pray. We pray specifically for the Hmong in Vietnam. In Jesus name, amen.
