“Then Joshua said to the people, consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow, the Lord will do wonders among you.”
(Joshua 3:5)

I love that verse. There’s obviously a clear, specific context historically behind this verse. God is about to move in a powerful way among his people, and lead them into the Promised Land cross the Jordan River, but I love the exhortation in preparation for that. Consecrate yourselves, consecrate yourselves. Remember that as a picture of setting yourselves apart and examine your hearts, be holy before God. Why? Because tomorrow, the Lord will do wonders among you. Get ready for God to work among you.

May we be constantly consecrated before God. Lord, set us apart daily to be used to play our part in the accomplishment of Your purpose.

Don’t you want to live that way? I want to live that way. I want to live that way every day. I want to live that way every morning. I want to wake up and consecrate myself to go before the Lord and God purify me, God sanctify me. I want to see you work in powerful ways all day today, and so you consecrate yourself toward that end. We continually do this. God set me apart. Make me holy. I pray this for my life, I pray this for my family, the church, God, we want to see wonders. We want to see you work in power in our family. We want to see you work in power in our church, so we consecrate ourselves, we set ourselves apart. We want to see demonstrations of your glory.

Then, I’m so burdened today, when it comes to Unreached of the Day this Joshua Project app and I open it up and I see the Turks in turkey, so the Turkish people, 56.4 million of them, hardly any followers of Jesus. The percentage that’s on here is .00. I know there are a few Turkish believers and I know people who are working for the spread of the gospel there but there are very few relative to 56 million and I want to just lead us to pray in part for God to do wonders in Turkey and he would set some people apart for the spread of the gospel there and he would consecrate some people for that purpose, for the wonders of salvation he might bring about in Turkey.

God we pray. We want to see you work in power in our lives, through our lives, our families, our churches so make us holy, we pray. Prepare us. Every day, prepare us. Every day, set us apart we pray to consecrate ourselves continually before you and then God we pray, we plead for wonders to be done in Turkey for your glory, for your salvation to spread in Turkey, for your glory, for Turks to be reached with the gospel. God, we pray for people to be saved from death to life. Please God work in Turkey. God, please consecrate those who are followers of Christ there, Turkish followers of Christ, missionaries who are there. Set them apart and do wonders among them today and tomorrow, do wonders among them. Show yourself strong through them and God, send out more, set apart more, God from the church I pastor, from other churches. please God set apart men and women to go to Turkey and show your wonders through the proclamation of the gospel in their mouths I pray.

God, we pray for your power to make known in our lives on a daily basis as we consecrate ourselves and your power remain known in the world, your glory may be known in the world in places like Turkey. Consecrate your people toward these ends, we pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
