What's so unique about getting to hear from believers in North Korea, Iraq, and Kenya?
Each year Open Doors puts out a World Watch List, which ranks the 50 countries where the persecution of Christians is the worst. Not surprisingly, North Korea has been #1 on the list for thirteen years straight, as it remains illegal to be a Christian there. North Korean believers are often sent to labor camps or killed for their faith. Iraq is #3 on the list, while Kenya is #19. Needless to say, it's not every day that we get to hear from believers in such dangerous contexts.
On October 30th we'll have the privilege of praying for persecuted believers from across the globe, and we'll even get to hear the stories of Christians from North Korea, Iraq, and Kenya. This event will be a free webcast hosted by Open Doors, and it's called The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church.
