We’re proud to call Compassion International one of our Counter Culture ministry partners. Their global mission is to relieve children from poverty in Jesus’ name. If you’re looking for a good way to get involved in caring for the poor (and children, at that), Compassion is a great place to start. The ministry partners with local churches all over the world. Compassion uses child sponsorship to give children adequate food, clothing, and education. All of this aims to make disciples of Christ among these children. This does not only alleviate physical and social poverty but spiritual as well.
On Sunday, April 26, your church has the incredible opportunity to take an active stand for the poor by being a part of Compassion Sunday. Over the past 25 years, this day has helped over 200,000 children out of poverty, a number that we hope increases substantially on April 26.
